From Sennen, West Cornwall. Crashing waves on granite boulders. Sea spray in the air.
A Watercolour painting by Lorraine Durant (artist website: www.lorrainedurant.co.uk).
We had planned to climb on the sea cliffs of Sennen, but the sea swell was so huge that waves were crashing half way up the cliffs.
I headed to the beach with my paints. It was now high tide. The sand was covered, only the granite boulders were exposed. I looked down the coast and saw lines and lines of swell and waves. The air was full of sea mist and the sound of the crashing waves.
Lorraine.
Beautiful image, I can almost picture myself there. A very poetic description as well I feel.
Thanks Nick. It was a very special experience in one of our favourite places.
