Morning Mist

A misty start to November. Then the sun came out. Then the singing started:

Song of the Little Brown Job

A couple of poems and photos from a pleasant walk through the beautiful countryside near Tortworth, South Gloucestershire. Wonderful weather for the first day of November in the UK, once the mist had been ‘chased away’ by the sun. And a song from one of the last warblers to leave our shores to spend the winter in warmer climes.

Note: ‘Little Brown Job’ or LBJ is the name given by birdwatchers to the various small migrant birds that share our summers, but spend the winter in far away warm places. Generally beautiful singers, but very hard to tell apart.
